High School

At St. Fatima International American School, our high school curriculum combines academic rigor with opportunities for exploration, independence, and personal growth.
Through a clear progression from Grade 10 to Grade 12, students develop strong academic foundations while exploring their interests through electives and interdisciplinary learning. Beyond university preparation, the curriculum builds AI and financial literacy, entrepreneurial thinking, communication, creativity, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making, while remaining grounded in Egyptian identity, character, and values. Together, these elements prepare students to succeed in university, navigate a changing world, and contribute confidently and responsibly to their communities.

Principal & Head of School Letter

A letter from our Head of School.

Dear Families and Community Members,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to St. Fatima School for the 2027–2028 academic year. As we proudly build on more than 70 years of educational history and tradition, we are especially excited to begin a new chapter with the launch of our American Division. We look forward to an inspiring journey ahead—one that honors our strong foundation while embracing new opportunities for learning, growth, innovation, and global engagement. We are delighted to have you with us as we begin this exciting chapter together.
Education today must go beyond preparing students for exams. The world they are growing into is changing quickly. Technology, artificial intelligence, the economy, and the way people work are all evolving, and our students need to be ready for that reality. At St. Fatima International School - American Division, we want learning to have a clear connection to life beyond the classroom.Of course, strong academics remain essential. But academic knowledge alone is not enough.Students also need to know how to think, how to question, how to make decisions, how to deal with technology responsibly, and how to understand the financial and economic world around them.
We want our students to experience learning in a way that encourages initiative. They should have opportunities to build ideas, work on real projects, explore entrepreneurship, use AI intelligently, solve problems, and understand that what they learn in school has a purpose beyond a grade. Equally importantly, we want them to remain grounded.
For me, a successful education is not only about what a student achieves, but also about the person he or she becomes. Integrity, responsibility, respect, and a strong sense of identity matter. Our students should be proud of their Egyptian roots while being fully prepared to participate in a global world.
Launching the American Division gives us a valuable opportunity. We are not simply adding another section to a school; we are building its culture from the beginning. That means being intentional about what we teach, how we teach it, the experiences we give our students, and the standards we expect from ourselves as educators. Our aim is clear: to graduate young people who are academically prepared, financially aware, confident with AI and technology, entrepreneurial in their thinking, responsible in their choices, and ready to make a meaningful contribution wherever life takes them. This is the direction we are taking, and I am genuinely proud to be part of building it.

Progression Through

High School

Our high school curriculum becomes increasingly specialized, independent, and student-directed from Grade 10 to Grade 12. Grade 10 focuses on strengthening foundations, exploring interests, and developing essential learning skills. Grade 11 builds greater academic depth and purposeful choice through electives and advanced courses aligned with students’ interests and future pathways. Grade 12 emphasizes specialization, independent thinking, and readiness for university and beyond, with opportunities to apply learning through research, interdisciplinary projects, entrepreneurship, technology, and leadership.

Students follow a progression across key academic strands:

University Admission Tests

Admission tests are external exams that universities require as part of the application process. Which test you take depends on the universities you apply to, so check each school's requirements early.
The ACT (English, Math, Reading, Science; scored 1-36) and the SAT (Reading and Writing, Math; scored 400-1600, taken digitally) are widely accepted by universities in the United States and around the world. The EST (Egyptian Scholastic Test) measures Math and Literacy skills and is accepted by many universities in Egypt.

St. Fatima International School provides students with opportunities to prepare for university admissions exams through SAT preparation support and familiarization with the College Board’s Bluebook testing app. Students will also have opportunities to experience the PSAT assessment through Bluebook, becoming familiar with the digital testing environment, exam format, and expectations as they prepare for university admission.

Our High School program is designed to support students as they progress toward graduation and prepare for higher education and future opportunities. The curriculum focuses on developing strong academic foundations, critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and independent learning skills.
Students study a broad range of subjects that may include English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arabic, and other required or elective courses according to their grade level and academic pathway. Learning experiences are designed to help students apply knowledge, engage with real-world topics, and build confidence across different subject areas.
In English Language Arts, students continue to develop reading, writing, speaking, listening, and analytical skills. They work with a variety of texts and assignments that encourage clear communication, interpretation, research, and evidence-based thinking.
In Mathematics and Science, students build on previously acquired knowledge through increasingly advanced concepts, practical applications, investigation, and problem-solving. These subjects support logical reasoning, accuracy, analysis, and preparation for further academic study.
The High School experience also supports students' personal development through participation in school activities, projects, leadership opportunities, and collaborative learning. Our aim is to help students become responsible, capable, and confident learners who are prepared for the next stage of their education.

School Supplies

All students are required to bring their school supplies on the first day of class. Each subject's supplies should be organized in separate, clearly labeled bags with the subject, child’s name, and class. Please ensure that supplies are not combined in one bag.
