Student Parent Handbook

A Student/Parent Handbook is an online guide that helps students and parents understand the policies, procedures, expectations, and day-to-day practices of St. Fatima School. The purpose of the handbook is to support a clear and positive relationship between the school and every family. Parents and guardians are responsible for reading the policies included in the handbook and ensuring that their children understand the expectations that apply to them. This helps us work together to support the safety, well-being, learning, and development of every student.

St. Fatima School may review, update, or amend school policies when necessary. Parents and guardians are encouraged to check the school website and official communication channels regularly for updates or additions to school policies and procedures.

Rediker / ParentPlus Portal Management System

St.Fatima School uses Rediker software as a school’s student management system. The ParentPlus web portal connects parents and students with schools and teachers. As a parent, you can quickly stay informed about what’s happening at school and your children’s classes, from knowing if the school is closed on a given day, to seeing how well your child did on his or her last homework or exam.

Trimester progress reports, end of trimester report cards, attendance, school calendar, important announcements and emails and notifications from school can also be viewed through the parent portal.

Please ensure that you have a valid e-mail address on Rediker. Rediker Username and password will be sent to you on Orientation Days via email.

If you do not receive our e-mail messages, then chances are likely we do not have the proper email in the system for you. You cannot access the portal without a valid e-mail address.

Communication Timelines

As a School

The school aims to respond to parent and guardian communication within a reasonable timeframe during working days. Messages received outside school working hours may be addressed on the next working day, depending on the nature and urgency of the matter.

As a Parent

Parents and guardians are expected to review official school communication regularly so that students remain informed and prepared. Families should also check the school's website, parent portal, and other approved communication channels for important notices, policies, events, and updates.

Feedback and Concerns Procedures

Many questions or concerns can be resolved effectively when they are raised early and discussed directly with the appropriate member of staff. The school encourages families to communicate concerns respectfully and promptly so that issues can be understood, addressed, and followed up appropriately. Where an issue remains unresolved, it may be referred to the relevant school leadership in accordance with school procedures.

General Feedback Procedure

St. Fatima School values feedback from parents and the wider school community. Constructive feedback helps us understand what is working well and identify opportunities for improvement. Parents may share questions, suggestions, or concerns through the school's approved communication channels and with the staff member most closely connected to the matter.

When an issue requires more than general feedback, parents should contact the relevant class teacher, coordinator, section representative, or school leader, depending on the nature of the concern and the school's internal escalation process.

Contact the relevant class teacher, coordinator, or school section representative.

Academic Concern Procedure

Academic concerns should first be discussed with the member of staff most directly involved. This helps ensure that the issue is understood clearly and addressed by the appropriate person. If further discussion is required, the concern may be referred through the school's academic leadership structure.

Formal concerns may be submitted in writing or by email to the appropriate member of staff. Parents or guardians who wish to arrange a meeting should use the school's official communication channels to request an appointment. The school will review concerns and respond within a reasonable timeframe according to the nature and complexity of the matter.
